theory.sauna :) + (: = dialogue

introduction theory.sauna was an idea that I got during the Polar Circuit workshop in Lapland. While spending time with friends, having chats in the sauna after lots of work in the media lab, I started thinking on how to simulate that situation on the net. That´s how I thought up theory.sauna. theory.sauna continues as intimate and intense dialogues with igniting people about contemporary culture, media, theory and art. mens sano in corpore sano, healthy person in a healthy body. I would like to propose a rather different version: an emergent body in an intimate dialogue. net.sauna: When Christa Schneebauer from Ars Electronica asked for a project proposal, I approached John Hopkins, Terhi Penttilä and Liisa Vähäkylä to join me in an effort to create Net.Sauna. We had a wooden sauna in the Linz Design Center, connected to Internet with 2 computers. Several dialogues were realized, including waterologies by Terhi and Trans sauna by Liisa.
